Some thoughts around common misconceptions (as I see them!) about no-nail playing.

0:00 You can't play loudly/project the sound
2:44 You will lose tonal variety
5:46 You can't play fast
8:44 You need a special guitar and/or strings
11:04 Your repertoire will be limited
13:00 You can't play tremolo
15:06 It's fine for amateurs, but you can't be a concert guitarist

Perhaps unsurprisingly given this was a one-take, no-script video, I made a couple of slips/comments that need clarification:

-at 6:43 I meant to say 'maintain volume at speed'
-to clarify, at 15:52 I meant that there were many no-nail concert guitarists in the 20th century, with a number still active into the 70s (and later actually -- no-nail playing never entirely went away)
