Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a type of blood cancer that is linked to a genetic change in the white blood cells which allows them to continually divide and accumulate in the body. Every patient with mantle cell lymphoma is unique. Some people with mantle cell lymphoma have very slow-growing or indolent disease that can be managed conservatively. Many people have a more typical version of MCL with a moderate rate of growth, and can benefit from a wide variety of treatments. Some patients have more aggressive disease and might need a more novel approach.
