In this video I quench two 8” chef knives that I forged from 80CrV2 steel. I ran three normalization cycles; at 1650F, 1500F, and 1400F. I quenched both blades at 1525F in Parks AAA heated to approximately 120F. I tempered the blades at 400F for two 2-hour cycles.
