FOCUS ON THE LORD’S POWER TO RESTORE, 2
2 Kings 5:1 (NKJV) 5 - Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the LORD had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper.
Naaman was a very powerful man in Syria. He was the commander of the Syrian king’s army and was a great man. But he had a serious problem – he was a leper and needed to be cleansed of leprosy. The fact that he was a great man did not mean that everything was going on well for him. Likewise, we may be powerful and great people in the world but may need restoration in an area of our life. Let us therefore not focus on our greatness in the sight of man. Rather let us focus on the Lord’s greatness and his power to cleanse and restore us.
