Start with the ACTIVet PRO: 1-250 Hz, 2-3 minutes, slowly scanning and hovering a half inch above the incision site.
Use blue light at 100% power, slowly scanning for 2 minutes at the incision site to control bacteria.
At-home treatments with My Pet Laser: 1-250 Hz, 2-3 minutes scanning above the incision.

Transcript: Hi, Mark Strong back with you. We have Chance with us today. We're going to give you a quick protocol for post-ops. Using a laser post-operatively is a wonderful way to speed up healing but with our blue radiance, the 465 nm, it's also a great way to knock down that burden of bacteria.
So with the ACTIVet PRO, we've put it on the PRO setting and pressed select, and now we have a 2-minute timer so we'll say select for that and then just turn on our power. So just imagine if we had a post-op incision anywhere along in here after you've closed, there was a good study at Ohio State that recommended waiting 30 minutes before applying anything, so let's just assume for a moment that we have had that 30 minute period.
The animal is in recovery after surgery and now you're just hovering along about a half an inch above the incision line and just hovering at a centimeter per second all along that closure site. And that's going to really help speed up the healing there, but also you want to pause it and switch back over to the blue setting and run that up to 100 percent. Select that and then just 2 minutes is plenty.
And come right back over there at that area again with the blue radiance, that 465 nm, has a wonderful bactericidal effects. Same slow scan, a centimeter per second. And that's going to help reduce the odds of infection. And are very synergistic with the red wavelength (660 nm), the 875 nanometer and of course the super pulsed laser (905 nm). So now you're getting four different wavelengths that are behaving very synergistically with each other and give you a much faster, more complete healing, which of course is exactly what we're looking for, especially when you consider there also no side effects with laser.
You saw there was no pain response, we don't have to worry about thermal buildup, no overheating of the tissues is possible with super pulsing. You just get all the benefits and none of the downsides, no side effects.
Chance is a wonderful calm dog and as you can see, the laser did not provoke any anxiety at all and I can tell you the dog is not anesthetized, he's just perfectly nice and calm. He's a good boy and we haven't done anything to change that. ACTIVet PRO, great for post-surgery.
Now, when you send the animal home, it's a great idea to use the My Pet Laser to continue those treatments. And with a My Pet Laser, you simply hold the power button down, and then select the protocol that you'd like.
In this case, we want 250 Hz because that's great for tissue repair. And just press the power button. So now your clients can do the same procedure at home and further speed up that healing. And of course the faster you can get it to heal, the less likely they're going to be bothering it and causing complications so we want to get healed up as quickly as we can, and this is a great way to facilitate that process.
And with a laser at home, there's no stress. Cats especially hate going into a carrier. But the dog loves to be curled up with you watching television and you'll be able to give that laser therapy treatment as one of your clients. And of course that's a good passive income for you as the vet. So Multi Radiance super pulsed laser is terrific for healing.
