Roma Downey receives the Inaugural Irish Diaspora Award, presented by Bob Geldof, on behalf of the Irish Academy (IFTA) and the Irish Government's Dept of An Taoiseach (Diaspora Affairs) at the 2016 IFTA Film & Drama Awards, held at the historic Mansion House in Dublin on Saturday 9th April; with the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins, the Lord Mayor of Dublin and Liam Neeson among the guests. Footage includes clips from leading figures in film and TV, such as Regis Philbin, Oprah Winfrey and Jack Huston.
