These are some of the stunning images in the running for the 2016 Sony World Photography Awards - with many capturing breathtaking shots of mother nature at her finest in the likes of Switzerland and Canada. Last year’s competition attracted over 173,000 entries from 171 countries. Entries will be accepted until January 5, 2016.
The Sony World Photography Awards is the world’s biggest photography competition and its aim is simple: to recognise and reward the best contemporary photography in the world.
