The Nueces County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of an inmate at the Nueces County Jail.
Gabriel Trevino, 32, was found dead shortly after midnight at the jail.
Sheriff's Department Officials say the cause of death is unknown at this time, and they are not releasing any information on how he was found.
Trevino had been at the jail since October and was awaiting transfer to a state prison for an assault conviction.
