In this video, I share my thoughts on whether you can monetize a Youtube channel using text to speech software. I was asked this question a few times on my channel so I decided to go look into the topic and find out as much as I could to share with you.
I started my research on forums such as Reddit and Quora which did give me some information but I didn't feel I was getting far at this stage because a lot of the information was very contradictory.
I did however come accross a couple of blog posts from VidIQ and Morningscore that shared a lot of useful information. VidIQ gave a detailed beginners guide on how to monetize your Youtube Channel and Morningscore gave a comprehensive look into " duplicate content ".
I also reached out to some reputable companies that have a good knowledge about Youtube. I wanted to get their opinions about this topic and they all replied with excellent feedback that helped me clarify what Youtube looks for when you apply to the Youtube Partner Program.
I finish up by sharing my overall thoughts on whether I believe Youtube will monetize a channel using text to speech software. In my personal opinion, I do believe you can ... but there are a lot of variable in relation to Youtubes policies and procedures.
I think the computer generated text to speech software is NOT the issue. The problem arises when there are one or more of their guidelines are not adhered to and this is what lead to a potential channel being refused monetization.
