You really only see two DIY roof racks on YouTube. After building this Unistrut rack I can see why it's the most popular and may even be the best. It was easy to make, cheap compared to Yakima or Thule, and in my opinion more versatile. In this video I mostly focus on cross bars for my 2014 Honda CRV but this would easily extend into whatever kind of SUV roof rack you’d like to make.
