Brexit and the Covid-19 Pandemic have confronted the Irish Government with new challenges. What impacts have these events left on Ireland's economy? And what implications do they have for the U.S.-Ireland transatlantic trade relationship?
The CSIS Scholl Chair in International Business and the CSIS Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program are pleased to host Leo Varadkar, Ireland's Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment. The discussion will center on a variety of issues, including Ireland's attractiveness for FDI, Ireland's impact in the United States, approaches to economic recovery, the EU-US trade relationship, and common objectives for a digital and climate agenda.
The discussion will be moderated by Bill Reinsch, the CSIS Scholl Chair, and Heather Conley, Senior Vice President for Europe, Eurasia, and the Arctic, and Director, Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program. Please join us for what is sure to be an engaging and informative discussion.
This event is made possible by general CSIS support.
