Robbers tried to break into atleast seven houses in Aquem area near Costa ground Margao on Tuesday night. This has driven fear into the minds of Aquem residents over their safety. They have demanded increased night patrolling and crackdown on thefts. Meanwhile, in another robbery, a thief stole goods worth nearly Rs 1.5 lakh from a grocery shop in Margao by breaking open the main shutter.
