Not a good night for my left eye. Worked several hours covering a coworker's shift & dang near all of my shift with a contact lens that was making my eye feel as if it had shrapnel in it. The irritation got so painful that, 30 minutes prior to my shift ending, I finally had to succumb to removing the contact and render myself unable to read. Therefore, I became useless at work (I didn't have my glasses in the truck *mental note..... ALWAYS have glasses in the truck*). Came home to find Pink (3 month old Nigerian Dwarf goat) screaming and caught in the fence. I got her out and then took a hit from her little horn directly in my already irritated eye. YAY! Some may see this and ONLY see the NEGATIVE aspects of these events. I CHALLENGE you to do your best to focus on the POSITIVE, not only when pondering this event in MY life , but in ALL THINGS IN LIFE. The POSITIVE in this event was that I DID NOT HAVE MY CONTACT IN!! Think about it..... I was destined to find her stuck in the fence. I was destined the get hit in the eye with her horn. The positive, and what I'm thanking God for, is that I didn't have that contact in! The damage to my eye could have been MUCH WORSE. In spite of it's challenges, life is good...... Very..... VERY..... GOOD!
