❌ Etsy is no longer a handmade marketplace. It hasn't been for quite some time now.
I am not anti-Etsy, but I've been working with Etsy sellers for almost a decade now... and I can tell you things are not as easy or as profitable as they used to be.
It's clear Etsy is...
❌ pushing for low-priced products,
❌ crowded with competitors that are not actually handmade sellers,
❌ becoming more bot-ruled than ever before, and the list keeps going...
If you want to make a reliable income from selling your products, Etsy can not be the only basket you've got your eggs in 🐣 ... You need your own website.
And it's not only about reliability and control. There are SO MANY things you can do on your own website to work smarter, not harder... that you cannot do on Etsy.
