MACARON RECIPE:
130 - 140 grams egg white (about 3-4 eggs)
pinch salt
90 grams caster sugar
230 grams icing sugar
115 grams almond meal
Gel Food Colour (Regal Purple by Americolour)
Edible Gold Dust (Luster Dust with the label 100% edible will suffice. if there's no 100% edible, it's likely that it's the non-toxic kind and that's not ideal).

I baked mine at 110 degrees (fan forced. For non fan fore, pre-heat your oven to 120 degrees Celsius) for 7 minutes on one side, and then flipped it over for another 7 - 8 minutes. I check to see if they are coming off the paper without leaving behind much of their bottom. Even if a little bit of the underside is being left behind, that is perfect because it will continue to set as it cools off on the tray. If you were to keep them in the oven for too long you run the risk of them becoming solid, hard meringue cookies. Not fun.
Thanks for tuning in guys! I hope you give these a try. and experiment with colours! Image a super vibrant hot pink with the gold?? or black! that would look awesome.
Until next time xxx
