In a historically quick legislative period, the UK Parliament has passed the Cooper-Letwin bill to stop a 'no-deal' Brexit in only three working days. The bill, which forces Theresa May to seek an extension of the Brexit date with the EU until at least May 22, was criticised by the government for the lack of time for debate. Nonetheless, it was passed through both the House of Lords and the House of commons with relative ease, after only being passed by a single vote last week.
