This case is a Modified Radical Mastectomy which is a procedure in which the entire breast is removed, including the skin, areaola, nipple, and most axillary lymph nodes. The patient is a young 29-year old female with infiltrating ductal carcinoma that was HER2 positive and locally advanced at presentation. She had one primary lesion in the far upper outer quadrant of her left breast. This was also associated with enlarged involved lymph nodes. She underwent 6 cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy with Herceptin, pertuzumab, and standard cytotoxic chemo agents and had a partial response. This patient will be considered for reconstruction at a later stage due to her need for post mastectomy radiotherapy.
