Goal highlights of legendary Romanian attacking midfielder Gheorghe Hagi.
Gheorghe Hagi was born in Săcele, Romania. He started his youth career playing for FC Constanta. When he turned 18 he signed with FC Steaua București. After his impressive performance at the 1990 FIFA World Cup, Real Madrid signed Hagi for two seasons. He scored 20 goals in 84 games for Real Madrid. In 1992 he made his move to Italy and joined Brescia. At the time Brescia had relegated to Serie B, and with the help of Hagi the club promoted back to the top flight. After another great showing at the 1994 FIFA World Cup, Hagi returned to Spain and signed with Real Madrid's rival Barcelona. In 1996 Hagi signed with Turkish giants Galatasaray where he played for 5 years. He scored 59 goals in 132 appearances for the club. Hagi retired after his years at Galatasaray.
Top Accolades (Championships/Medals/Individual Awards): 4 Süper Lig titles with Galatasaray, 2 Supercopa de España with Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, 3 Divizia A titles with Steaua București, 1 UEFA Cup, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 2 time Divizia A top goalscorer, 1 time European top goalscorer, a player in both FIFA's 100 and FIFA's XI list, 1 time Turkish Footballer of the Year, a player in the 1994 FIFA World Cup All-Star team and 4th place recipient of the 1994 Ballon d'Or award.
Hagi was one of the best attacking midfielders in the world during the 1980's and 1990's. He's regarded by many fans as the greatest Romanian footballer of all time.
