Are you thinking of seeing America by train? A missionary did so using Amtrak’s 30-day rail pass. It will save you money but there are limitations. UPDATE: A few months after releasing this video, I heard reports of people receiving compensation for trains that arrived at their destination many hours late. One traveler suggested calling Amtrak to complain. That may result in receiving a voucher for a future trip.
