I bought this car from a person, who I know now is a thief and liar, and am now trying to reverse engineer his crap and is costing me a LOT of money. He had a problem with the immobilizer and according to forums, nobody has ever chiipped or "hacked" the ECU, but apparently this guy did, because as you can see, the ECU starts the car without the immobilizer reader to send the code to the ECU.
How does this work? The reader / receiver works, because I changed the ECU and it won't start the car. So the ECU was either hacked or un-chipped, which is amazing, because that's where the relay and switch are.
Any help would be appreciated, because I got stuck in the middle of the road, and the more I plug and unplug and plug my ECU back, the more the car "learns" and is now giving me the CEL and other errors (like EPS, etc.). The handbrake light is constantly on and I checked the entire system (filter, switch, brake levels, etc.)
When I bought this from him, none of the warning lights work. Door open and seatbelt light still doesn't work and that should be around the Security Assay area, which doesn't work, because the doors and keyless entry doesn' twork.
