How to ride "Extreme Shoulder-in" to improve suppleness with Kirstin Kelly explains how it engages the horses hind end and lifts the back while teaching the rider to control the shoulders and speed. Extreme Shoulder in is a must for Dressage horses and Showjumping horses alike. To be able to improve suppleness and be able to turn the shoulders independently is important to every horse no matter their discipline. Dressage horses often end up with tight, sore backs, this exercise is really important to stretching their backs to keep them sound, comfortable and supple. Extreme shoulder in should be done every day at the beginning of each horses work in. Kirstin Kelly has a great range of Dressage and Showjumping videos available on her website Kirstin Kelly Equestrian. Each video has horse riding lessons/ horse riding videos to watch.
