Don't forget I have a website for all the fishing information you will ever need for your adventures:

This is a starter replacement DIY guide. Please make sure you do your own additional reasearch. The information I am providing
is for a 2000 Johnson Ocean Runner Pro 200 HP Engine but the guide should help with 100-250HP Engines.
I had just enough footage to provide some information that could help my subscribers and anyone looking to DIY a boat starter or solenoid.
The work is easy, the preparation in making sure you have the proper tools and safety equipment should be taken into consideration. While my video does not show gloves or eye safety, I would highly recommend it, just cause I didn't have it
doesn't mean you don't need to take extra care to make your own DIY as safe for you as possible.
The job is NOT difficult at all and from a scale of 1 to 10 this is at least a 3 of 10 for difficulty, it should take no more than 20 minutes if you take the time to carefully document each cable and follow them to the Starter and Solenoid prior to starting. When you ready to put things back in the reverse order, it will save you time and headaches if you forget where the cable came from when you removed it.
I hope this helps anyone have more confidence in this simple DIY and keep you on the water sooner if you should have the same misfortune as I did while on the water.
See you on the water!
