David, the king of Israel, was an experienced shepherd of his father’s flocks. He is the one who penned Psalm 23, the message carried in this video. For David, an experienced shepherd to say “The Lord is my Shepherd”, he understood what he was talking about. David did not write this psalm only for himself. Written in 1996, the song has been translated into many languages and is a favorite in many African Church congregations as far as Central and Southern Africa. It is Reuben’s prayer to see the song sang in as many languages of the earth as possible. What a joy to hear both the police and army bands perform this psalm as rendered by Mr. Kigame.
