Just a quick video showing how I replaced the rear shocks on a 2018 GMC Yukon XL. This would be the same for the Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe and the Sierra and Silverado trucks as well.
It's a pretty easy job, but if you live in a rusty area, you will probably want to spray the bolts ahead of time with PB B'laster penetrating catalyst so they will break free much easier. I found it easiest to use a short socket and a little bit longer extension on the passenger side due to the A/C Lines and the electrical wire loom being in the way of getting the socket on to the head of the bolt.
Tools Needed:
21mm Sockets and/or breaker bars and ratchets and a few short extensions
Pry Bar
Torque Wrench
Impact wrench is helpful as well
The torque specs that I found online are 85 ft. lbs. for all of the bolts/nuts.
Thanks for watching!
