Hey guys, today's standard I've been playing a lot in the past, but never sang it before this week. The song was composed in 1928 by Fats Waller with lyrics from Andy Razaf (Django recorded it in 1938). We've had fun playing it at Duc des Lombards in Paris a couple of years ago at the release party of "Why not?", my 2nd album paying tribute to the great Django : [ Ссылка ]
I'm playing a 1948 Gibson L12p, strung with nickel strings round wound gauge 12, and using a Dunlop purple 0.71mm pick. The sound is captured by both a Neumann TLM 103 and a Bluebird.
For those who wonders if these guitars are mine, most aren’t but I’ve been lucky to be able to present them on this channel for you to enjoy (a few different private collections in Europe, mainly France).
I make a living with my music, but to prevent the spreading of COVID 19 the French President has decided not to allow any concert until mid June (I’ve played less gigs since March 2020 than I usually play in a good month), so If you want to help me :
