In this third part on Libertarian Socialist Rants debate with Julie Borowski I explain briefly to back up Julie Borowski's original point as to why socialism cannot work, regardless of whether it is centrally planned or an argument of Anarchism, it is absent of the important information prices give to the market.
Julie's initial point is correct, the knowledge problem relative to the economic calculation problem leaves it impossible for the government to know all the available information of what to produce or even where to allocate valuable scarce resources. Likewise, as stated, even if there were to be a decentralised system (which is an oxymoron of socialism as an ideology), it is still faced with the economic calculation problem due to having a moneyless based system.
This fine example proves that people like Libertarian Socialist Rants fail to comprehend the role of prices and why price information is so important to an economy, whether arguing for a moneyless based system or price fixing, his ideology, socialism, is faced with the economic calculation problem.
