Recipe of Duck mappas kerala style/താറാവ് മപ്പാസ് /Kuttanadan Duck Curry. Tharavu Mappas is a traditional preparation of duck in coconut milk and is a speciality of Kuttanadu region. It is a traditional spicy delicacy with an outstanding flavors of spices. The zesty aroma and flavor of coconut milk adds a unique touch to this recipe. Duck meat is a Syrian Christian delight and speciality of my community.

coriander pwd 2 tbsp
turmeric pwd 1 tsp
thin coconut milk 4 cups
diced potato 3
curry leaves

thick coconut milk 1 cup
cashew paste 2 tbsp
duck fat 1/2 cup
mustard seeds 1 tsp
sliced shallots 10
tomato quartered 4
slit green chilly 5
