🧡 3 ½ years Full Time RVing, 4 Campground Workamper Jobs, ALL Different! I’m talking about Time Commitment, Compensations, Hours, Pay, Duties, PROs & Cons AND Our overall # 1 Pro & Con to this awesome workamping lifestyle! #workamper

We are currently on a 3-month vacation in our home state of Pennsylvania. Here are our 4 different campground workcamper jobs. This was our first Workamper job at a campground. #workamping

Riverview RV Park, in Lake Ozark, Missouri, we worked from January to the end of October 2018. Time Commitment: How long do we stay? 9 months, originally planned for 6 months, then they called us early due to someone leaving and we said yes. January – March we watch the park. Very limited hours. Then March to the end of October, was regular campground operations. Compensations: What do we get? FREE FHU Site, FREE electric, FREE Propane, FREE Laundry, Plus Store discounts, Hours: How many hours do we work? Jill, 10 hours per week, Me, 10 hours per week, The great thing, we worked the same days and hours. Pay: How much will you pay us? NONE! ONLY FREE FHU site, Duties: What do you want us to do? Jill, Office, Taking Reservation using Open Campground, answer phone calls manage store and camp host duties, like if guest need help! Duties: Me, I worked outside the office, taking care of the swimming pool, Mow & Weed Eat grass, Some Plumbing, Electric, Clean Bathrooms and camp host duties as well. PROs: What we liked! FREE FHU Site, Not a lot of hours, we had plenty of time to go on adventures. CONs: What we disliked! Very cold in January, February, & March! Our 1st winter in a camper. Not a lot of hours, On the other hand, Jill was bored and took a volunteer job at a local thrift store. #workcamping

Corps of Engineers, John H Kerr Dam and Reservoir, Boydton, Virginia. This was a volunteer workamping job at North Bend Park and Campground, working on winter projects. Time Commitment: 2 months, November & December 2020. This was a filler workamper job for us. We needed a place to stay that was close to home and allowed us to work for a short period of time. Compensations: Beautiful FHU Site overlooking the lake. FREE electric and mileage reimbursement for, use of our truck. Hours: 24 hours per week total, Split any way we wanted, like me 20 and Jill 4! Pay: NONE! It was All volunteer work! Duties: Jill & I had the same duties, Projects like painting signpost, site post & information post throughout North Bend Park and Campground. Also, we organized several of the equipment storage sheds. PROs: Low stress, we were given a task list of projects and we were on our own to get them done. We worked what ever days and hours we wanted as long as we completed the projects. CONs: Weather, it was occasionally cold, wet and we were not able to work due to the types of projects on our list. We used our on vehicle to drive to and from assignments.

3 ½ Years, 4 Campground Jobs, ALL Different! Here’s our, #1 PRO & #1 CON.

# 1 PRO: Our FHU Site has been FREE, Approximately $600 saved each month. We have only paid for our FHU Sites, 3 months prior to here and now 3 months while in Pennsylvania. Over 3 ½ years and we have ONLY paid for our FHU Sites 6 months.
# 1 CON: Travel, It’s very expensive when you are traveling across the United States vs staying a period of time workamping and seeing the sites in the area.
