The 3rd rifle company of the Bundeswehr 66th rifle battalion at Wentorf near Hamburg had their own ceremony to salute the "Hauptfeldwebel". Most of these soldiers were conscripts. The light infantry battalions of the Bundeswehr kept the name and the traditions of the old "hunter" (Jäger) companies. Their emblem is the golden oak leaf. The instrument the private has is a so-called Fuerst Pless Horn.
That battalion was part of the 16th Panzergrenadier-Brigade of the 6th Panzergrenadier-Division (6. Panzergrenadierdivision) Neumünster (Northern Germany). The division was disbanded in 1994.
