He was the director of Terence Young's 1962 spy movie, Dr. No. This movie is the first in the James Bond franchise. Based on Ian Fleming's 1958 novel of the same name, it starred Sean Connery, Ursula Andress, Joseph Wiseman, and Jack Lord. Richard Maibaum, Johanna Harwood, and Berkely Mather adapted the film. Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli produced the movie together, a collaboration that lasted until 1975. In 1963, From Russia with Love came after it. In the movie, James Bond is tasked with looking into the disappearance of another British agent and is dispatched to Jamaica. The trail takes him to Dr. Julius No's subterranean headquarters, where he is preparing to use a radio beam weapon to thwart an early American space launch from Cape Canaveral.
