BJP chief JP Nadda has returned as a minister in the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is taking oath this evening for a historic third term. Seventy-one ministers are taking oath today along with PM Modi.

Mr Nadda was in charge of the health ministry in the first cabinet of PM Modi from 2014 to 2019. In 2020, he took charge as the BJP chief, replacing Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and the party's chief strategist.
