Springs are a trading strategy that indicates an imminent change in trend. We walk through the details of the trading strategy and criteria to follow as described by Richer Wyckoff and David Weis.
Weis describes springs as a washout of a trading range or support level that fails to follow through and leads to an upward reversal. Stating that the main idea behind the notion of springs, up-thrusts, and shortening of the thrust is lack of follow-through.
