In this episode, we visit the capital city of the State of Mexico, Toluca de Lerdo, or just Toluca. Toluca gets a bad rap in CDMX, but we think it's somewhat unfair. Being so close in proximity to Mexico City, this "little big city" naturally suffers by comparison to its cosmopolitan neighbor to the east, but it offers a very different experience. Toluca is nestled in a mountainous pine forest and is much colder than most of Mexico, being the highest altitude capital city in North America.

We visit the Cosmovitral Jardín Botánico de Toluca, the Catedral de Toluca, and several other attractions.
