Itenary & Budget
Day 1
Started our journery from Mumbai
Boarded 3.15pm bus leaving from Borivali(SRE Travels) - 1400rs
Day 2
Reached Hospet in morning around 8:30 am, bus stand was 450 meter away took local bus(1/2hour frequency) to hampi - 15rs. you can also travel by auto which cost about 150rs
check-in at the homestay - 500rs and headed towards Virupaksha temple and Hemkuta hills which right beside temple.In the evening enrouted to Matanga hill which gives a 360 degree view of the surrounding. Dinner at Mango tree highly recommend for foodies egg biryani and mango lassi arey must try food item
Day 3
Rented a moped which costed 300rs + 100rs fuel ,you can also rent a cycle which cost 100rs -150rs great for solo traveler (there are only 10 government registered mopeds in old hampi side so make sure you be the first one to get them)
First headed towards the underground shiva temple (timing - 6:00am to 6:00pm)which is 2.5km from virupaksha temple it hardly take 10-15mins to reach there.then headed towards
Hazara rama temple (timing - 6:00am to 6:00pm) this is small but beautiful temple located at the center of the royal area.Once it was the private temple of the kings and the royal family of vijayanagara. Then our next destination was
Lotus mahal (timing - 8:00am to 6:00pm) its one of the fine architectural designed palaces that are uniquely identified by its lotus look.
Elephant stable (timing - 8:00am to 6:00pm) shelter of the royal elephants of the vijayanagara empire
Queens bath (timing - 6:00am to 6:00pm) a colossal bath that exemplifies the architectural excellence prevalent during the days of the Vijayanagara Empire
Vithalla temple 8:30am- 5-00pm
ancient monument one of the largest and the most famous structure of hampi then headed backto homestay
Day 4
Boatride to Hippie island/new Hampi 40rs. rented moped which costed around 300rs + 100rs fuel and headed to the homestay checked in which was around 500rs. left for Sanapura lake its one of those secret attractions around Hampi its a nautral lake with boulder hills all around. enjoyed Coracle ride which costed 100rs. headed to the Anjanadri hill birth place of Hanuman it has a great view from the top for sunset .the temple has a stone written "श्री" on it and it floates on the water. enjoyed the sunset peace at tha topband then headed back to home stay
Day 5
Last day in Hampi so we checked out from the homestay and headed to the laughing buddha cafe for some food and the took the boatride 40rs back to hampi side then the local bus to hospet 15rs and finally the last ride of the trip back to Mumbai a/c sleeper bus 1400rs.
Total trip cost was approximately 5000rs out of which travel cost from mumbai was 2800rs so you can choose different travel option According to your budget and leisure.
