🚩 Ronald Davis —— upfromsumdirt is autodidactic in poetry & visual art and is the author of two full-length collections, Deifying A Total Darkness and To Emit Teal; a third poetry collection, The Second Stop Is Jupiter, is due fall 2023 as well as a collaborative picture book, A Is For Affrilachia, with the Affrilachian Poet Frank X Walker due February 2023. “brothadirt” lives in lexington, ky with his partner, author Crystal Wilkinson, who is most recently author of the novel The Birds of Opulence and the poetry collection Perfect Black.
🚩 Lucas de Lima —— Lucas de Lima is a Brazilian-born poet, artist, scholar, and educator. They are the author of Wet Land (Action Books 2014) and Tropical Sacrifice, forthcoming in December from Birds LLC. A recipient of grants and fellowships from the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and the Canada Council for the Arts, de Lima holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. They live in New York City and teach at Mount Holyoke College.
🚩 Nikki Wallschlaeger —— Poet Nikki Wallschlaeger is the author of the full-length collections Houses (Horseless Press 2015) and Crawlspace (Bloof 2017) as well as the graphic book I Hate Telling You How I Really Feel (2019) from Bloof Books. She is also the author of an artist book called “Operation USA” through the Baltimore based book arts group Container, a project acquired by Woodland Pattern Book Center in Milwaukee. Her third collection, Waterbaby, is out from Copper Canyon Press. She was a Visiting Associate Professor of Poetry at the Iowa Writer’s Workshop from Spring 2021/ to Spring 2022. Her next book, Hold Your Own, will be released from Copper Canyon (details to come).
