(23 Mar 2017) A Polish eyewitness of Wednesday's attack in Westminster on Thursday spoke of her "shock" after witnessing the killing of Police Constable Keith Palmer, saying she at first thought it was an accident.
A teacher herself, Monica Fraczak also recalled "children screaming".
Others emphasised that carrying on as "we've always done" was part of the "London spirit".
Londoner Perri Wheeler said that the objective of the attack was to scare people, but that "we'll just carry on".
Dale Baker from the United States appeared to echo the sentiment, saying that people were "not as fazed" as he would have expected it in similar circumstances in his own country.
The Islamic State group claimed responsibility on Thursday for Wednesday's attack by a man who plowed an SUV into pedestrians on one of London's famous bridges and then stabbed a police officer to death at Britain's Parliament.
