These Erickson Skycranes are being used by the Greek Civil Protection / Hellenic Fire Service every summer for use against wildfires.
The helicopters on the Erickson Air-Crane fleet are leased worldwide to organizations, companies, and Federal Government agencies for either short-term or long term use in fire suppression, civil protection, heavy-lift construction, and timber harvesting.
I estimate it was from Kokkino Limanaki in Raphina, Athens which was tragically burnt with a hundred people dead, one year after this video was taken (summer 2018). My thoughts are with the ones that got lost in the flames or drown in the sea trying to escape because the state didn't care enough and didn't have a plan to rescue all of them. After all those years there have not been any prosecutions on this case.
