Texas infrastructure company Axiom is sending the first all-civilian spaceflight to the International Space Station (ISS), but the historic mission won't just be for the pretty views.
Among the station's visitors are a real estate investor, a former Israeli fighter pilot, and Canadian businessman Mark Pathy, all of whom paid almost $70 million apiece for the view and a job as "mission specialists."
Over their eight-day stay, they will be conducting 26 experiments on the ISS.
Global’s Mike Drolet explains why this voyage could mark a key turning point in commercializing space.
