Toad the Wet Sprocket gave local fans a sneak peak of many songs they were preparing for a new album when they played their last show of 1993 at the Polo Grounds in Santa Barbara, CA on July 23rd. "Stupid" was one song debuted that day and would make the band's 1994 release Dulcinea. It would quickly become a featured part of the band's concerts while touring in support of the new album. "Stupid" would only be played sparingly after 1995 until a resurgence in 2015. Toad has not played it at all during live shows since the fall of 2016, however.
