Tenerife is not only a beautiful island for lovers of sun, sea beach and relaxing by the pool, but it is also great for nature lovers and hikers. At the end of May 2019, my wife and I took a walk through the Barranco del Infierno gorge. It is a beautiful route with views over the town of Adeje and the sea as well as over the gorge. It is fairly dry at the top of the gorge, but as soon as you get lower in the gorge it becomes increasingly more humid and greener. At the bottom of the gorge you can encounter a very special bird called the Barbary partridge.
The walking route through the gorge is maintained and admission is not free. After purchasing a ticket you will be given a helmet that you must wear during the walk through the gorge. Closed shoes are required for the walk.
For the address, access times, prices and facilities you can go to the website of Barranco del Infierno:

I supplemented our film material from the gorge Barranco del Infierno with an animation I made with Doodly and animations that I made with Google Earth Studio.
