Every Monday we feature a great vintage instrument. This week it's a wonderful example of sixties Rickenbacker jangle and sparkle with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe! The figuring in the body is absolutely gorgeous & the guitar has a beautiful, natural acoustic resonance even before you plug it in! The Ric "toaster tops" sound fantastic & deliver rich, bell-like tones that seem to chime for days.
Similar to many Rickenbacker guitars, the 365 has been released in a number of variations over the years with changes in cosmetic details and hardware. Also like other Rickenbackers, the notoriety of the 360 and 365 were greatly enhanced by their use by the Beatles in the mid-'60s. Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape for a 50 year old guitar! There are various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking, buckle rash & some finish wear.
Neck: Slender profile maple & walnut neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with crushed pearloid "triangle" inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life them. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Original nut is included. Neck is straight & truss rods work fine.
Electronics: Ric '"toaster top" single coils; dual volume & tone controls with boost blend; mono & stereo outputs.
