Ingredients and Measurements:
Curry Paste:
1.5 tbsp. curry powder
1/2 tbsp. masala
1/2 tbsp. ground geera
2 tbsp. ground garlic
1 hot bird pepper
2 tbsp. green seasoning
2 tsp. dye/turmeric
water to mix
To make the dhal:
2 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. cumin seeds
1 small onion chopped
2 scallions chopped
curry paste
salt to taste
2 cups washed dhal (yellow split peas)
1 tbsp. extra green seasoning (optional)
1 tsp. extra dye/turmeric (optional- depends on color you like)
water to cover the dhal
