Replacing my barn roof continued on day 2 with the roofer starting to strip off the timber deck. The timber deck is 150 year old oak with a thickness of around 4.5cm (1 3/4inch) and all different sizes. Some of these planks need two people to lift. I decided to keep all the old oak at first to chop into firewood to use next year (or maybe even this year if the temp does not rise) but now another idea using the planks for fences.
This video and the following videos will show the daily progress of the roofers replacing my roof.
