"We've been here for 43 years, if I'm not mistaken. So we already know we're having fun. During the show, we pick out different pig rooters out of the audience, or cheerleaders, to represent each pig. When their pig wins, they get free prizes."

"So this year, we have three different breeds of pigs racing, 15 pigs in total. The first heat during the show that you'll see are what we call a Meishan. They actually originated in China. They weren't imported into the U.S. until the late eighties. And they have a really unique look. They have a very, very unique look for a pig, a very wrinkly face. And they have like kind of bony hips. They look unusual, but that's true to their breed. The second set of pigs you'll see race are your everyday farm pig, the Yorkshire pig, and those guys are quite a bit faster. And then the third race, the main event, are a Vietnamese potbellied pig. And those are the main event. And they burn up the track."

"My family actually has been in the circus industry and entertainment industry for nine generations. So my son is 10th generation entertainer. My dad (Wayne Rosarie) was born and raised in England (Billericay, Essex)and came over to the U.S. in the early seventies and then the pig racing thing accidentally happened in the late eighties. He built it for himself, which almost all the equipment you see here today my dad built himself in 1990 and yeah, we're still going strong. And my son is now third generation pig racer, 10th generation entertainer. So that's kind of awesome."

Maybe we could try out and see if we can win one of the races. And she's like, Oh, the one we got only one, one race ever. And he just happened to win today. So now I feel really good."
