Many birth parents are asked "Do you regret your decision?" especially when their life begins to take a turn with events like marriage, graduation, financial security, or any other good things in life. The four strong birth moms in this video talk about the feelings they have surrounding regret and how they've coped with the feelings that sometimes arise surrounding that emotion. Each birth mom in this video agrees that they made a decision that was best at that time in their life, and that their children are exactly where they're supposed to be. One birth mom expresses that people often assume she regrets her decision when she is sad and grieving the loss of her child, but explains that grief is not regret and, even during the hardest of times, she does not regret her decision. Sometimes the children placed for adoption might not end up with exactly the life the birth parent hoped they might have, but really wise perspectives are given in this video about how to cope with those "what if" emotions that occur during the most intense moments of grief.
