More and more people are travelling to Turkey every year to have cosmetic surgery.
Cheaper costs, effective advertisements and visa-free travel have led to a boom in this multi-billion dollar industry.
But what is it actually like to go under the knife abroad?
In our latest documentary, Correspondent Neha Gohil sits down with young people, surgeons and experts about this growing industry.
We spoke to Laura Ivanova, a 22-year-old TikToker from Dublin, who has had six cosmetic surgeries in Turkey including a BBL, buccal fat removal and a tummy tuck.
We also chatted to 20-year-old Jieyi Yu who travelled across the world from Australia to Turkey to have a BBL - without even telling her parents.
After speaking with patients and experts, people who are considering surgery abroad should be aware of two things.
Firstly, you should check the reviews and certification of the surgeon and clinic you are planning to book with.
Secondly, be weary of "special offers", discounts and incentives to book treatments or extra procedures.
You can check the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons's website (BAPRAS) which has a patient information guide on their website for people considering cosmetic surgery abroad.
Their guide contains advice on the risks of having surgery abroad as well as a checklist of questions to answer before making a decision.
