In this webinar, recorded May 28, 2021, Robert Jenssen gives a talk about AI in healthcare and medical image analysis. Robert is professor at the University of Tromsø, and head of the UiT Machine Learning Group.

This talk outlines recent work for developing novel machine learning methodology for decision support in healthcare in the context of detecting risk patients using data from electronic health records.

Furthermore, the talk presents novel directions in medical image analysis for estimating cerebral blood flow from PET images as well as work on interpretable Visual Intelligence (deep learning) where a novel method for estimating the uncertainty associated with important features in the input images is proposed and demonstrated in the context of semantic segmentation of colorectal polyps.
