My driver side front brake line rubbed the inside of the wheel, and eventually failed right after I get into the brakes in T1. You can see me check the brakes before the braking zone like I normally do, then I apply the brakes at marker 5. They worked for a bit then the pedal hit the floor. I tried pumping once and got nothing. After that I tried to downshift but panicked too much and just yanked the ebrake. I put it back down and exited the track going straight. The grass was still wet so I pulled the ebrake again to get the car to turn around. Even with my HANS I had no desire to hit the tire wall head on at the speed I was carrying. I could have stayed on the pavement longer and gone off to the right, but the wall comes up sooner there. Plus the car seems to have only suffered body damage from the impact. I banged out some panels, refit the rear bumper, mounted my Hoosiers and took first place in TTA at the end of this day. My neck was sore the next day, but I think that was merely from sleeping in the back of an SUV.
