Ride On meets hip hop. Overall a very cool tune, with a very modern sounding bassline in the live version. I didn't do the studio one since that's a loop and Ian improvising lead bass over that. I'm personally not a fan of learning other people's improvisations, as it kind of defeats the purpose of learning to cover a song. Improvising is for your own stuff. Right at the very end, you can see an easy variation to do involving that high C.
So this one was meant to be part of the last batch, but the recording came out pretty badly and had to be scrapped. Doing those continual ghost note patterns on the Ricky just isn't feasible due to how it's designed. These Bernard Edwards type bass lines are very much Fender Jazz territory, physically and tonally. Although this one, especially the low Gs, isn't perfect either, it is very listenable.
