The Jaguar F Type had big shoes to fill by picking up the mantle of Jaguar's flagship performance car from the excellent XK, and one of the best ways which Jaguar chose to approach that task was to make it something altogether different.
Instead of the 2+2 seat layout and long distance, torque heavy approach of the outgoing XK and XKR, the F-Type brings a distinctly more pure sports car slant, coupled with a significant AWD advantage on certain models.
